Happy Endings Caboose Cafe
A cafe in a 1920s orange caboose beside the Royal Gorge Route Santa Fe Depot, serving espresso, breakfast, lunch, and ice cream.
Happy Endings Caboose Cafe runs out of a 1920s orange caboose next to the Royal Gorge Route Railroad Santa Fe Depot, at 403 Water Street. It is steps from downtown Canon City, the train, and the Arkansas Riverwalk. The menu covers Italian-style espresso, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, crepes, burgers, salads, and scoops of ice cream, plus cocktails. There is plenty of shaded outdoor seating, and you can also sit inside the adjoining caboose, which is air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter. The cafe is open daily from 7:30am to 3pm, so it fits before a train ride or after a morning on the river. Call (719) 276-4018 with questions.
